Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne Moor is an Hollywood actor and writer who has received critical recognition for her talent. Sagittarius born, Julianne Moore was born December 3, 1960 on the state of North Carolina. She's the third oldest siblings who were born to Peter Moore Smith, a paratrooper and Anne psychologist. The Moore family has English as well as Scottish ancestry. Moore's father moved around often due to his work. It was it difficult for her to meet or keep friends. Moore's family moved from the United States to Germany and she went to Frankfurt American High School, where her first acting roles were on stage in productions. She continued her education at Boston University where she graduated in 1983 with a B.F.A. in Theater. After graduation, Moore began her off-Broadway career in New York. In the episode The Edge of Night in 1985, Moore appeared in her debut appearance on screen. In 1986, she took on two roles as Frannie and Sabrina Hughes in As the World Turns. This was the show that became her break. She was on this show up to 1988, and she won a Daytime Emmy Award for her performance. Her first film appearance came in Tales from the Darkside: The Movie. The film she later described as a bad budget production. Short Cuts was produced by Robert Altman in 1993 and 3 Women was released in 1997. The films were critically acclaimed and Moore received multiple nominations. Moore was offered her first lead role in Safe (1995). The actress' career was at a crossroads when Steven Spielberg cast her to play the lead role in Jurassic Park: The Lost World which was one of 1997's highest-grossing movies. She was a part of Magnolia (1999) that was critically acclaimed, which earned her an SAG nod for her role. The Hours was her co-starring role in 2002, and it earned nine Academy Award nominations, including Nicole Kidman. Moore also appeared in The Forgotten (2003), Freedomland (2005), Shelter (2010) as well as a variety of other movies. She appeared in Non-Stop (2014). Moore has appeared in countless films and television programs. She has a starring role in the most recent one, which is When You Finish Saving the World (2022). In Hollywood as well, she has become a published author for children. Her first novel was published Freckleface Strawberry (2007) and was a N.Y.T. bestseller. The book became a best bestseller, and then was adapted to a television series and musical. Also in 2013 Moore released her novel My Mother is a Stranger. Moore is an accomplished actor and writer. Her personal life, is therefore in the public domain. She separated from John Robin in 1995. Bart Freundlich, whom Moore then married in 2003 is a father of two with Moore. Moore is someone who takes pride in her career and family.
